Five mothers and grandmothers inspired the panel of judges thru their extraordinary love and devotion: Rosita Marivic Diaz, a hardworking farmer and house helper who sacrificed tirelessly to send her children through school; Justiniana Mañosa, a 61-year-old delivery helper who continues doing heavy work while caring for her grandchildren; Lolita Gacho, an 81-year-old grandmother who brings relief to her family and community through traditional healing (hilot); Gregoria Maligalig, a resourceful mother and primary caregiver to her own elderly mother; and Mary Jane Roson, a resilient mother living with hypertension whose daily sacrifices inspired her daughter’s journey toward becoming a licensed teacher.
Building on this commitment to household wellness, Generika Drugstore is also helping families access free essential medicines under the government’s PhilHealth YAKAP initiative.
